What is Epsilonia ?

Broadcasted on Radio Libertaire since 1987, the Epsilonia Radio Show is dedicated to the discover and the defense of experimental musics in all their forms : contemporary, electroacoustic, improvised, noise, ambiant, progressive, free-jazz and also experiments in creation close to these music such as sound-poetry and spoken word. With four teams working jointly each one being in charge of the programming of one evening per month, we try to present the widest choice as possible in these musics... from records and also from live sessions taking place in & outside our studios. In allowing the listener to open his ears, to stimulate his sensibility through a different approach of music, we hope to encourage one's curiosity and, by contagion, one's desire not only to listen but also to think different... without prejudices, to open one's mind. In short, we firmly believe in the alternative role of experimental musics in opposition to the brain washing muzak from commercial radios. This show was created by Jacques Perdereau in 1986.
